Who is responsible

Man-X Thats Limited, company number 138045C, is the controller of personal information handled through this website and trades as Stabit. You can contact us at hello@stabit.im.

This notice describes our handling under the Isle of Man Data Protection Act 2018 and the Applied GDPR framework.

Information we collect

A project enquiry asks for:

• your name and email address;
• your organisation;
• an existing website URL, if you choose to provide one;
• the selected service or project type;
• the primary outcome you want the work to achieve;
• your indicated budget range and preferred timing;
• whether your organisation serves visitors;
• your supporting message; and
• a hidden anti-spam company field, which is expected to remain empty.

The site and services involved in delivering an enquiry may also create ordinary security and delivery logs, such as an IP address, timestamp, request or delivery status, and basic browser or device information.

Why we use it

We use this information to:

• respond to your enquiry;
• understand your requirements and prepare a proposal;
• protect the form and our services from spam and abuse; and
• meet legal, regulatory and accounting obligations.

Lawful bases

When you ask us to discuss or quote for work, processing is necessary to take steps you request before entering a contract. We also rely on legitimate interests in answering genuine enquiries, preparing proposals, operating and securing the website, and keeping proportionate business records. Where record-keeping or another duty is imposed by law, we process the relevant information to comply with that legal obligation.

Services and international processing

Vercel hosts this website. The email provider configured for the site delivers enquiries to Stabit. These providers act as service infrastructure and may process information outside the Isle of Man. Where required, we rely on appropriate contractual and legal safeguards for that processing.

How long we keep information

General enquiry information is deleted or anonymised within 24 months after the last meaningful contact, unless the enquiry becomes part of a client record or we need to retain particular information for a legal reason.

Client and accounting records are retained for the periods required by Manx law and for legitimate contractual needs, such as managing the engagement and resolving questions about completed work.

Cookies and local storage

Stabit does not intentionally set non-essential analytics cookies on public pages. If you choose a light or dark theme, that preference is stored locally on your device so the site can remember it.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for a copy of your personal information, ask us to correct it, erase it or restrict how it is used, object to processing, or receive information you provided in a portable form. Some rights have legal conditions or exceptions, and we will explain these if they affect your request.

You can also complain to the Isle of Man Information Commissioner. We would welcome the chance to address your concern first, but contacting us is not a condition of making a complaint.
