Make the next step feel possible.

The community already existed. Families already knew the value of finding people who understood.

Diverse Minds’ mission, relationships and community work all predate the website. Our digital task was to make that welcome easier to find and act on: organise information, make the first steps legible and give established community work a clear public home.

Three moves that mattered.

  1. Listen before structuring

We began with the language, questions and routes families already use, then organised the site around those real needs.

  2. Make welcome unmistakable

Free joining, free regular meetings and no diagnosis needed are clear from the first encounter.

  3. Extend, don’t replace

The digital work extends the community’s existing identity and routes; it does not recast how the organisation operates.

Four clear ways in.

Existing work became a consistent public map, not a new operating model.

Support

Find the regular parent and carer meetings, and a welcoming first route into the community.

Signpost

Reach practical information and relevant outside resources without a confusing search.

Advocate

See the community’s established advocacy activity, updates and ways to take part.

Create

Discover inclusive events and shared experiences that bring people together.

What shipped.
